Over a span of 4 years from 2008 to 2012, we created these 3 CDs to accompany HEALING TOUCH FOR ANIMALS’ loving energy medicine techniques to support the practitioner, students, and, of course, their animals.
HTA’s founder, Carol Komitor, came to our studio in Seattle and demonstrated each technique while Arden translated the movement created by it into music.
Each track represents a specific HTA technique, including one for the Animal Council, an inspiration of Carol’s.
These CDs are wonderful to use during a treatment session, as relaxing and inspiring music to listen to at any time, or as an accompaniment to a self-healing meditation.
You don’t have to be familiar with the techniques of HEALING TOUCH FOR ANIMALS to benefit from listening.
It’s the movement created that’s most important.
HEALING TOUCH FOR ANIMALS was founded in 1998.
The essence of Healing Touch involves a connection to the divine source, creating loving presence and flow that allows the person’s own healing to occur.
Piano and cello were chosen as the expression for this CD. The piano covers the full range of the body. The cello helps to reach a deeper resonation that allows profound connection deep in the body. Piano and cello, surface and deep in torso, allow for healing to occur on all levels. The CD begins with an introduction or intake section. The music in the second track deepens and becomes more relaxing for the assessment and treatment portion of the session. The third track offers inspiring infusions of joy created with the intention of leaving the client and practitioner grounded and ready to embrace the joy in life.
This CD is ideal for use during a treatment session, as an accompaniment to a self-healing meditation, or as relaxing and inspiring music to listen to at any time. Remember, you are part of the divine, living here on this planet in your body with all that you need to heal yourself.
About the Music: The music on this CD was created in an interpretive process with Arden Wilken, a sound therapist since 1978, during an actual Healing Touch session by Lisa Mentgen-Gordon, CEO of Healing Touch Program and daughter of Janet Mentgen, Healing Touch’s founder. Arden translated the session into sound as it moved through the Healing Touch Basic sequence.

*Although ‘mp3’, is used in the name of this project, all tracks are actually full spectrum music- wav files. The animals receive the best quality sound to aid in their healing.
To make this CD, Holistic vet, Dr. Pamela Fisher, selected tracks from some of our INNER SOUND therapeutic music CDs and then asked us to make changes to the loudness of certain frequencies- making them more suited to animals. Several tracks from our classical music CD, JUST PIANO, are included.
We are very happy that all 4 of our CDs for animals (HEALING MUSIC FOR ANIMALS AND THEIR PEOPLE, vols I, II & III and CALM MY PET) are included in the RESCUE ANIMAL MP3 PROJECT helping shelter animals around the world calm with music.
