REMOVAL OF AN INSTRUCTOR FROM THE SCHOOL FOR INNER SOUND FACULTY
Removal policies for Instructors of the Tuning Fork Basic course are as follows:
1. After an instructor is certified they are evaluated by review of evaluation forms and assessment of student skill either in advanced level courses or by telephone or direct interview. If complaints are received directly from students about an Instructor or it becomes clear that teaching outcomes are not being achieved, the Instructor is notified and is informed of the complaints and asked to comment on the situation.
After reviewing the Instructor’s comments and assessing the lack of teaching outcomes the Director of Education decides
if the complaints are valid and if the Instructor needs review or further instruction to rectify the situation.
If it is decided the Instructor needs review or further instruction and the Instructor willingly works to correct the
situation, then no further action is taken except to assess the evaluation forms and learning outcomes for that
Instructor for 1 year after the difficulty arose.
If the Instructor is unwilling to recognize the need for improvement or is unable to improve their instruction
techniques, for any reason, to the satisfaction of the Director of Education, they will be removed from the school faculty.
2. An Instructor may be removed immediately for failure to comply with any School for INNER SOUND policies as stated in Professional Conduct Ethics Tuning Fork Instructor
